Kispest visit to Smolyan

In September 2025, Kispest received an invitation from its twin town of Smolyan, because this year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of László Nagy, a Hungarian poet, translator, and graphic artist who won the Kossuth and three-time József Attila Prizes. He translated Bulgarian poems into Hungarian and passed this knowledge on to his students. Visitors can view many of his works at the László Nagy Museum in Smolyan.
During the trip, they had the opportunity to discuss the relations between Smolyan and Kispest with the mayor of Smolyan, Nikolay Melemov, and the two deputy mayors.
