Camp in Vrbovec in 2026
Thanks to the Kispest Municipality, we were able to spend five full days in Vrbovec at the start of the summer break with six really cool and friendly students. We were accompanied throughout the trip by two delightful teachers from the local school, along with six equally friendly and resourceful Croatian students. The children quickly became friends, making the time spent together truly enjoyable. We were served plentiful and delicious meals at our accommodation and at every location we visited—and there was never a shortage of dessert, either.
The activities our hosts organized were incredibly varied and entertaining. We got a taste of their school life and hospitality, and toured the local museum on our first day. From the second day onwards, the bonding really took off amidst a whirlwind of activities. We visited the Tesla Visitor Center—where we could "touch" electricity—and took part in an escape room challenge in mixed teams with the local students and teachers. We played plenty of games at a video game museum, embarked on an exciting journey through time at the Neanderthal Museum, toured Zagreb’s Old Town led by a "witch" guide, and even caught a glimpse of our shared Hungarian-Croatian history at a magnificent castle. Swimming and the informal evening activities made these few days even more unforgettable. We are grateful to our hosts for this unforgettable experience, and we eagerly looked forward to meeting again—this time in Hungary. We hope to continue soon!
