Turkish delegation of about 20 persons – investors and colleagues of the local government – arrived at Kispest. Purpose of the visit is to develop the sister town connections, especially to establish economic co-operation.
Representatives of Pendik Local Government of Istanbul, sister town of Kispest, as well as big investment companies interested in building industry and trade took part in the Turkish delegation. Mixed programme organized by the Local Government of Kispest included an economic conference, as well.
In his speech opening the event Peter Gajda mayor was glad to tell that the sister town agreement concluded in 2010 went beyond the anyway very successful exchange recreation programs and finally arrived in a new phase. He is confident that investors would find partners during the talks with Hungarian and foreign businessmen. The mayor appreciated regional significance of Turkey, then told about the central role of Budapest and all advantages that Kispest is able to provide for the investors. He also emphasized investor-friend environment of the district, its central part in traffic and its good infrastructure.
David Havas for CBS Property presented the details of the Neo center project situated near Határ út to the Turkish investors. He told that plan of the building complex, originally including shopping centre, offices and sports facilities has been upset by the economic crisis, therefore construction works could not start. Now the company offered the project to the Turkish businessmen for sale. The project manager suggests that it is to be considered due to the KÖKI Terminal, however, a project of similar profile can, by all means, be realized on this area of Kispest standing empty for a long time.
Imre Birizdó described the investment possibilities of Tatabánya Industrial Park and the Hungarian investment environment.
The delegation will take part in a breakfast meeting with the representatives of Kispest Local Government and visits the Parliament, as well.
