Children of the social camp of the district spend their summer holiday in Káptalanfüred together with Turkish, Bulgarian and Croatian students participating in the sister town exchange program. Peter Gajda mayor together with György Vinczek deputy mayor and András Mihály chairman of the youth political committee visited the holiday camp of the local government on Tuesday afternoon.
The Croatian young people performed a cultural programme to the guests of Kispest, they celebrated the anniversary of their country’s joining the European Union on July 1st. The Croatian, Polish, Bulgarian and Turkish children arrived on Sunday spend their summer holiday together with the children of the social camp of Family Welfare Service, They go for excursions, arrange quizzes, do sports and get acquainted with culture and habbits of each other. Guests gained positive experiences: foreign children are also satisfied with the summer holidays, feel good in Káptalanfüred. Peter Gajda considered the student exchange program one of the most important elements of the sister town relations existing since 2006 which is also assisted by the European Union this year.
After vacation at Lake Balaton still this summer nearly one hundred children from Kispest shall return the foreign children’s visit: students travel to Smolyan (Bulgaria) from the Deák secondary school, to Krzeszowice (Poland) from the Vass school, to Vrbovec (Croatia) from the Eötvös school. The students of Bolyai school visited Pendik (Turkey) early summer in June 17-26.
